As part of our ongoing conservation efforts, we’re excited to announce another CC&E grant from the Alberta Conservation Association! This grant will be used for ongoing work on the Ross Creek Shelterbelt Maintenance Project.
These funds will go toward purchasing and planting several hundred additional shrubs, which will be added to the shelterbelt that was planted last year. The funds will also be used to maintain what has been planted with regular weeding and watering. This is a huge priority for us as we want to use our funds wisely and ensure the long-term success of everything we plant.
The Ross Creek Shelterbelt is a multi-year project that will continue to provide important habitat for local wildlife, specifically song birds and upland birds.
