Chinook Pheasants Forever is a non-profit local chapter of Pheasants Forever Canada Inc. dedicated to the conservation of pheasants and other upland birds and wildlife through habitat improvements and restoration, public awareness, education, land management policies and programs in Southern Alberta.
Responsible use of funds
Non profit has never been truer than with Chinook Pheasants Forever. All monies raised through our fund raising efforts go directly to habitat projects and land acquisitions. In the past these efforts have included tree planting, weeding, watering and planting food plots/cover crops. We are dedicated to the enhancement and conservation of pheasant and other wildlife populations by enhancing the quality and quantity of wildlife habitat.
Did you know?
Six times Chinook Pheasants Forever has been recognized as one of the top 25 tree planting chapters in North America. The habitat projects were located in 40 Mile County and Cypress County in southern Alberta.
Fundraising
One of our largest fundraising events is our Pheasants Banquet. It’s an annual banquet open to the public that creates a fun event to raise funds for our conservation efforts. This is a sellout event providing major sponsorship opportunities for local businesses. The amazing local vendors in our community are huge supporters with donations of products and services for auctions and raffles. This is truly a must attend event!
Education
Public awareness for youth and adults alike is ongoing with trade shows, a ladies/youth shoot, the “Pheasants Forever” magazine, our Facebook page and this website keeping everyone updated on our events and projects. We’re not just about pheasants! Our conservation efforts benefit many different species of wildlife.
