Chinook Pheasants Forever wants to thank P & H Terminal in Bow Island for their donation of various kinds of seed to be used to feed upland birds this winter.
Every time a customer arrives at the terminal to offload, samples of their seed are bagged and saved for a short period of time. Once these samples are no longer required, they can be disposed of.
Instead of tossing the sample bags into a garbage bin P & H has decided to donate them to conservation groups. Conservation groups, like Pheasants Forever, can then use this seed to feed wildlife through the winter. Because of P & H’s forethought, volunteers from Chinook PF have picked up and stored approximately a tonne of seed which will be used this fall to fill various feeders situated on conservation sites and on private lands.
If any of Chinook’s members are interested in receiving seed for their own winter-feeding program please text Len Hanson at 403-580-7635 and he will provide you with more info.
