Chinook PF would like to thank CF Industries of Medicine Hat for their outstanding community support in providing a group of hard working volunteers who helped to plant shrubs at the Ross Creek Conservation Site on Monday May the 15th.
These volunteers from Canadian Fertilizers (CF Industries) helped to plant and water 540 thorny buffaloberry shrubs and 500 willows around two of the wetlands that were developed last fall at the Ross Creek Conservation Site. Because of their great work planting was completed quickly and with a minimum amount of stress upon the shrubs.
Money to develop the wetlands and to purchase the shrubs came from the Provincial Watershed Resiliency & Restoration fund and the plantings were done with the guidance and assistance of employees from the Alberta Conservation Association.
Thanks again to everyone who made this day such a wonderful success, it is greatly appreciated.
